 The
Law Offices of Richard W. Moore, P.A. has achieved for the past ten
years the highest possible peer review rating “AV” from
Martindale Hubbell. Only a very small percentage of firms have achieved
such a rating. Richard W. Moore is also recognized in Martindale Hubbell’s
prestigious Bar Registry of Preeminent Lawyers for his expertise in
estate planning matters. The firm was founded in March 1992. Richard
W. Moore (Dick) had been a partner with a larger firm and decided he
wanted to form his own firm.
At the time, Richard W. Moore, Jr. (Rick) was working in the tax department
of an international accounting firm. Because of the growing caseload,
Rick joined the firm later in 1992 and they have practiced together
since then. Our firm is a general practice with concentrations
in estate planning, immigration law, tax and business law and personal
injury. We strive to keep up with the technological applications that
will improve client service. Dick and Rick have chosen to keep their
firm small, nimble and responsive. When clients contact the firm, they
know their matter will be handled by either Dick or Rick and not by
an inexperienced attorney or paralegal.
In
1993, UBS Financial Services, Inc. created a national network of estate
planning attorneys as a resource for their financial advisors and clients.
After an extensive background check and interviews with attorneys from
some of the Baltimore area’s largest and most prestigious firms,
UBS Financial Services, Inc. selected The Law Offices of Richard W.
Moore to represent its valued clients needing estate and business succession
planning. Since then, the firm has enjoyed an excellent working relationship
with UBS Financial Services, Inc. investment executives from the Baltimore,
Hunt Valley and Rockville offices and has developed estate plans and
administered estates for numerous UBS Financial Services, Inc. clients
each year. We also regularly handle estate planning referrals from financial
advisors with other national financial institutions.
We are members of the American Immigration Lawyers
Association, and regularly draw from AILA’s resources to
achieve the best results for our clients.
In January 1998, the firm moved its offices from downtown Baltimore
to its new offices in Towson, 10 miles north of the Inner Harbor.
The move has been met with nothing but positive responses. We
have garage parking adjacent to our building. Our offices are
also within walking distance to Baltimore County Circuit Court,
the Towson District Court and Baltimore County Government offices.
